1. Information we collect

• Information you provide: when you submit a booking or inquiry, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, selected experience level, preferred time, and any optional message you send.
• Website and technical information: our hosting services and third-party tools may process IP addresses, browser and device information, page visits, referring pages, cookie identifiers, and activity such as a completed booking.

Please do not include payment-card details, medical information, or other sensitive personal information in the booking form.

2. How we use information

We use booking and inquiry details to respond to you, arrange and confirm classes or private lessons, communicate about your request, and keep records of inquiries. We also use website information to operate and protect the site and measure the effectiveness of our advertising.

Submitting a booking request is not a separate subscription to marketing emails or promotional text messages.

3. Who receives information

Academy staff who handle inquiries can access booking details. Information is also processed by providers that support the site, including Replit for website hosting, our database-storage provider, and Google/Gmail for booking notification and confirmation emails.

Google receives website and advertising-event information through the Google Ads tag, as described below. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect rights or safety, or address fraud or misuse.

4. Google Ads, cookies, and browser storage

Our academy landing pages use a Google Ads tag and conversion tracking to measure activity such as completed booking requests and understand whether advertising leads to inquiries. Google may use cookies and similar technologies and process technical information such as cookie identifiers, IP addresses, browser information, and page or event activity. Google may associate this activity with other information it holds, subject to its settings and policies.

The site also uses session storage to help avoid counting the same completed booking more than once. Our current booking conversion event does not include the name, email address, phone number, or message entered into the booking form.

You can manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center and control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies or storage may affect site features and advertising measurement.

5. Embedded content and linked websites

The site includes Google Maps, YouTube content, and externally hosted images. Loading this content may send technical information to its provider; playing an embedded video may also involve cookies or similar technologies.

Links to our Shopify website at offyourbackbjj.com, blog articles, social media, and other external websites take you outside this booking site. Those services handle information under their own privacy notices. This policy is not a description of Shopify checkout or payment processing.

6. Retention and security

Booking information is stored in our site's database, and booking emails may remain in the relevant email accounts. We retain information as reasonably needed to manage inquiries and our relationship with you, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods can vary by the type of information and its purpose.

We use safeguards intended to protect information, but no website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You can contact us to ask about retention or request deletion of your inquiry details.

7. Children's privacy

Although the academy offers kids classes, the online booking form is intended for adults and parents or guardians. Parents or guardians should use their own contact details to inquire about a child's class. We do not request that children under 13 submit information directly through this site.

If you believe a child submitted personal information without a parent or guardian's involvement, please contact us so we can review the information and address a deletion request.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact us to ask about your information, correct booking details, request deletion, or ask us to stop contacting you about an inquiry. Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have additional rights, including rights to access information or object to or limit certain uses.
